King Charles-III became emotional after remembering the Queen
After the death of Queen Elizabeth II of Britain, her son Prince Charles has become the new King. He will now be known as King Charles III. As king, he reached Buckingham Palace for the first time on 9 September. In his first address to the nation on Friday evening, he said that like the Queen, he will serve the people with full devotion and love.
King Charles III looked very emotional while giving a last message to his mother. He said- My dear mother was an inspiration to me and the family. In 1947, my mother took a vow on her 21st birthday. She only wanted to serve the people all her life. It was more than a promise, a commitment made to the people, which he kept for the rest of his life.
Referring to his two sons,
King Charles said - now my son William will be my heir. William and his wife Kate will be the Prince and Princess of Wales. In his address he sent love to second son Harry and wife Megan. They are definitely away from the royal family, but be happy wherever they are.
Changed Royal Family Titles
King Charles III's son Prince William will now be called Prince of Wales. Queen Elizabeth II crowned her son Charles as Prince of Wales in 1969. He inherited his father's title Duke of Cornwall. William and Kate have now been given the titles of Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge. Not only this, Charles' wife Camilla will also be known by a new title. She will be called the Queen Consort.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's son Archie Mountbatten-Windsor is technically now a prince after the death of Queen Elizabeth. Harry-Megan's daughter Lilibet 'Lily' Mountbatten-Windsor is also entitled to become a princess after her grandfather Charles ascends the throne, reports The Guardian.
